The annual White House Correspondents Association Dinner was held at the Washington Hilton in Washington D.C. last night. President Trump and the First Lady were in attendance, along with the Vice President and many cabinet members, Senators, and Representatives. Security was tight.
But not tight enough.
Yet another assassination attempt was made on the president. This time by a 31 year old teacher from Torrance, CA.
Evidently he just got a Masters in engineering. WordPress wouldn’t let me embed this X post for some reason, so here’s a screenshot and here’s a link to it. In the lower right is his X profile page and when you click on his avatar, it is what appears to be his 2025 graduation from graduate school.
I think Matt Walsh has an appropriately horrified grasp of the situation here.
Of course Trump was rushed out by Secret Service. The ballroom was emptying out, with the WHCA heading to the White House for a briefing with the president, and this happens right outside the hotel. Unreal. These people are unhinged.
And I’m extremely reluctant to ever point to any one piece of rhetoric to blame on violence, but CNN and MSNBC (now MSNOW) are a 24/7 steady stream of this sh*t. I’m old enough to remember when S.E. Cupp was a self-styled libertarian. She’s gone completely over to the dark side now.
To be clear: the only person responsible for a shooting, is the shooter — but there has to be some accounting for this kind of apocalyptic framing as a steady diet being injected into the body politic.
Of course, the left could be counted on to behave abominably.
First up, Trump’s notorious niece, making a reference to the attempted assassination attempt in Butler, PA in July 2024, which, evidently, she believes was also staged.
These are not minor, fringe figures posting this stuff. This Morgan J. Freeman (no, this is not the actor, Morgan Freeman) has 625,000 followers.
This guy has 60,000 followers.
This chick has nearly 80,000.
And there are dozens more. Here’s just one more, with nearly 50,000 followers.
It just goes on and on…
