🤯 The Lunatic Left Series is a (near) daily curation of X posts and other items that catch my eye while I do my morning news “rounds” over ☕️ coffee. It’s not meant to be comprehensive, merely a snapshot of the lunatic left with whom we share a planet 🌎.
The juxtaposition of these two headlines caught my eye. How on earth is a young man who killed his father (he was 21 when he did it) out of prison in less than 10 years? Less than 20? Or, I don’t know… AT ALL???
First headline, 2026: Man arrested for setting largest fire in Spokane.
Second headline, 2010: Same arson suspect killed his father 16 years ago in fight over dishes.
You read that right. It was a fight over doing the dishes. And he killed his father over it. Aaron F. Farinacci, now 37, was released from prison on the murder charge in 2020. He’d served less than 10 years. He is currently being held on a million dollars bail for the arson charges.

(Knowing what smarty-pants you are, you probably want to read that headline in red too, so the Hochul & James story is here if you want to go read it. A small but important win for POTUS.)
Anyway, soft-on-crime sometimes takes time to boomerang. The other day we had an item about a guy here in NC who got let out of prison and 90 minutes later killed someone. This time, it took 6 years for the perp to commit another felony, but here we are.
Oh, and there’s this.
Moron.
By the way, Citizen Free Press is my go-to roll of continuously updated headlines. I must check them 20 times a day. Yes, I know that means I have no life. You don’t have to remind me 😉
Speaking of Citizen Free Press, I checked back there a few hours after seeing the above headlines and bam — two more headlines worth sharing. This time about yet another bat soup crazy Democrat running for office. They’ve produced a banner crop of them this year.
First headline: Mouthy Democrat gets knocked out on Maui beach.
Second headline: Same dude arrested two month ago.

Holy cow. Here are the opening paragraphs the second story from just two months ago:
An armed man entered a Maui County government building Friday morning and brandished his gun during an argument with county workers, but police were not called for an hour and a half.
Kirill Basin, who had recently announced he planned to run for Congress, was arrested at around 12:30, miles away in Kīhei — where he lives — for Terroristic Threatening in the First Degree.
Dude enters a “government” building, brandishing a gun! After “recently” announcing his candidacy! Holy moly. And now this, from the first story, about his behavior on a beach:
Kirill Basin, 40, was charged with two counts of first-degree terroristic threatening, and his bail was set at $1 million.
I found some good video of the incident:
Hawaii is a deeeeeep blue state. I was frankly surprised that he got such a high bail. Somebody was on the ball this time. So, good, right? Then it occurred to me. Is Kirill Basin white? Answer, via Google AI:
Yes, Kirill Basin is white. According to his official campaign background published in local outlets like The Maui News, Basin was born in Ukraine and immigrated to the United States with his family when he was a child.
Now the high bail makes more sense… Dang, I really hate being this cynical.
Moving right along…
Okay, okay, okay… Help me make sense of👇🏼 this.

Soooo… it’s okay if a guy steals a girl’s spot on the WNBA team, but not okay when a guy steals your WNBA coaching job? Is that what chickie in the “Trans Kids Belong” t-shirt is saying here?
What if the guy who wants to be coach says he identifies as a girl? Is it okay then? I’m so confused.
That’s okay, I suppose. So are they.
Wow. I’m shocked this happened. I’m guessing this British news anchor is not on the air after this and very likely out of a job.
The cut-off text reads:
I understand that all of this is coming to an end. I look at it and understand everything with absolute clarity. It’s happening before our eyes, live. The only thing I can’t understand is how the authorities.. not only in Britain, but in the West in general… especially left-wing governments… I can’t understand, why are they doing this? At best – turning a blind eye, and at worst – participating in it consciously and intentionally! This is what I can’t understand at all!”
It’s genuinely tragic what Europe’s leaders have done to Europe.
Speaking of Europe being overrun with Muslims, I don’t think this young, female Muslim Oxford Union student realized what she was saying here — or maybe she did. Either way, it’s a conquering ethos, not a grateful one.
Back here at home, we have lawyers committing immigration fraud on an industrial scale.
You may recall Michelle Obama popularizing the term “food desert” back in 2010. Here’s a transcript excerpt from one of her “Let’s Move” events from back then. It seems food “affordability” was one of their issues then, too. I guess I’d forgotten about that.
MRS. OBAMA: I think you’re absolutely right that the cost of healthy foods oftentimes becomes a barrier. The access and affordability of foods is a huge issue. And with “Let’s Move” that’s one of our major pillars, is eliminating what are known as food deserts. There are millions of kids who live in areas all throughout the country that we call food deserts. Those are places where you can’t — there isn’t a grocery store, there isn’t a place to buy fresh produce, healthy food.
The availability and affordability of food is much in the news lately because of NYC Mayor Mamdani’s opening of a government run grocery store.
Well, once again, if you just wait long enough, our “crazy right-wing conspiracy theories” turn out to be true. We said that “food deserts” were a bunch of b.s. Now, because someone with the right pedigree at the right magazine says so, it’s magically true. Behold The New Yorker from last week.
It’s all so tiring.
Speaking of tiring, here’s a nice round-up of lefty rhetoric which causes ear fatigue everywhere it goes. Or crushing soul fatigue. Or both.
The cut-off text reads:
Goddamn states.” – Ilhan Omar
“America deserved 9-11, dude. Fuck it. I’m saying it.” – Hasan Piker
Oh wow. Remember Live Aid? It was a fraud. I know, I know. You’re shocked.
The cut-off text reads:
killed over a million people.
Ethiopia was never colonized, yet Western guilt and empathy were abused.
Still remains a cautionary tale on why every dollar of aid has to be scrutinized hard or it ends up arming the people prolonging the suffering instead of feeding the ones who need it. Because as a result of this mismanagement, lives were lost DUE to millions in aid.
Context: a drought hit at the same time the ruling Derg, a Marxist military junta, was collectivizing farms and diverting grain reserves to fight the rebels.
The famine still happened because Marxist central planning had wrecked food production and the civil war made the drought catastrophic.
FFS WaPo called the city of D.C. on VP Vance over his chickens.
We don’t hate the Fake News enough. Every time I think we do, we get evidence that we don’t.
We posted in item involving CAIR the other day and I said they are a terrorist organization. Now even The New York Times admits it.
The cut-off text reads:
financing case” and was “condemned” by the “Biden White House” for cheering the Oct. 7 massacre of Jews, and as a result, “several mosques and Muslim groups are trying [to] stay away from CAIR.”
Another admission from another surprising source, this time Politico.
👇🏼This. Has. Got. To. STOP.
Will not ONE Democrat condemn this? Hell, is there not one Republican?
This is the rough equivalent of saying “Hitler likes dogs so he can’t be all bad so I’ll support him,” Rep. Debbie Dingell (D-MI).
The cut-off text reads:
addition to abolishing ICE, effectively destroying the Supreme Court, wealth taxes, releasing criminals, and, of course, his continued embrace of virulent anti-Semite Hasan Piker. However, Dingell and others pledge that they will work for his election to the Senate…
Obama’s speechwriter is on board with Abdul El Sayed too. And Stephen Miller is absolutely correct here. His nickname — among friendly colleagues, to his face — was “Hamas.”
And finally, hah! I was today years old when I learned this. What a funny story.
The cut-off text reads:
served… his and a rival. The owner of the rival had a wife who worked as a switchboard operator. Anytime anyone called for A funeral home or HIS funeral home, she would route the call to her husband. He invented the dial phone so customers could explicitly end around switchboard operators and call someone directly. I just love this story.
Have a great Wednesday, patriots. ❤️🇺🇸
