Forget the ruling for a moment. There is something deeply wrong when a child is seriously injured—and the people responsible can still find something funny about it.
That isn’t sportsmanship. It isn’t accountability. And it certainly isn’t something to laugh about.
We all know injuries happen in sports, but that isn’t what happened here. The kid in this video literally picked up his opponent and slammed him to the ground.
What rule allows that in basketball?
I feel terrible for the injured kid. What kind of lesson does this teach him? How do his parents explain this to him without crushing his sense of law & order? How can you raise a kid to respect authority when stuff like this happens?
