The U.S. and Israel have opened up a giant can of whoop-ass on Iran this morning. It began around 1am Eastern, so it was full daylight morning in Iran. Their aim is regime change.
Iran is 8 1/2 hours ahead of the East Coast. (The 1/2 is just them being contrary; it’s really not more complicated than that. They just like sticking their finger up at the western world.) Trump released an 8 minute video statement on Truth Social announcing the operation at around 3am Eastern time. Here’s the X post from the White House X account with the full video.
