🤯 The Lunatic Left Series ~ Saturday August 22nd

🤯 The Lunatic Left Series is a (near) daily curation of X posts and other items that catch my eye while I do my morning news “rounds” over ā˜•ļø coffee. It’s not meant to be comprehensive, merely a snapshot of the lunatic left with whom we share a planet šŸŒŽ.

I’m frankly tired of writing about lefty darling Hasan Piker but Congressman Ro Khanna has given us reason to so here we are again. Let’s just review, quickly, some of the things Mr. Piker, a podcaster who has been on campaign stages with various Democrats, has said.

“America deserved 9/11, dude, fuck it. I’m saying it… We totally brought it on ourselves.” ~ August 2019.

“I’m a lesser evil voter and therefore I would vote for Hamas over Israel every single time.” ~ April 2026

“Overall, what [is] my favorite flag? Hezbollah.” February 2024

I could go on, but you get the idea.

Well, now Representative Ro Khanna has weighed in on Mr. Piker and has concluded it would be “weak” and “absurd” to abandon him.

Congressman Khanna is no backbencher. He is the former Whip now Vice Chair of the Progressive Caucus in the House and is in front of a camera most days flapping his gums. Were he hurting the party, Minority Leader Hakeem Jeffries would have given him the hook long ago, but he hasn’t, so we will take him seriously.

In the article he tries to put Ben Shapiro on the same moral plane as Hasan Piker, which is patently absurd, as is his wishy-washy jive:

“Just because someone is engaging with Hasan Piker who has strong viewpoints… doesn’t mean that you’re endorsing every single one of Hasan Piker’s positions.ā€

I’d love to know which one of Piker’s positions he disagrees with, but alas, we have no actual press corps, so I guess it will remain a mystery wrapped in bullsh*t.

You can read the whole article here if you care to.

ThisšŸ‘‡šŸ¼ happened in a town just a couple of hours from me here in the Blue Ridge Mountains of Western North Carolina. (Apex is in suburban Raleigh.) Get close to one of our major cities (Raleigh-Durham, Charlotte, Asheville, etc.) and you get this liberal crap.

What is striking here is how flippant they are to this parent. They don’t even entertain his concerns about a trans teacher at all. They just tell him to get lost and homeschool his kids.

They’re becoming more and more bold, more and more cold, more and more sociopathic. It’s very worrying.

If you care to read the entire post, just click on the time/date stamp at the bottom and your browser should take you right there.

(Sorry to be such a bummer today!)

Continuing on in my bummer mode, I am going to throw cold water on any hope you have about former Congressman Eric Swalwell meeting true justice.

ICYMI, he’s just recently had a little visit with the FBI who confiscated his digital devices and who-knows-what-else from a raid on his home. As Sundance (@TheLastRefuge2) correctly points out below, when the FBI gathers up evidence, it’s usually to bury it, not seek justice with it. Even under the leadership of Kash Patel, I fear nothing has changed regarding these activities.

Just look at Sundance’s list of evidence that got buried. Every single time, we were hopeful for justice. And every single time, our hopes were dashed.

You know, I have no doubt it’s not a lot of fun being crammed in like sardines on a Navy ship, especially for a long deployment in a zone (aboard the USS Abraham Lincoln, off the coast of Iran) where going ashore isn’t really a thing, but this is absurd.

How do you sign up for the friggin’ Navy and think that you’ll never be “on a boat in the middle of the ocean”? What. The. Hell.

One of the Seattle Times’ journalists tried to get an article published from the perspective of a couple of XX female athletes being made to compete with XY athletes pretending to be women… and the Seattle TImes wouldn’t do it, so the reporter quit.

Good for him!

ICYMI there’s this monster on the south shore of Boston, a woman named Lindsay Clancy, who used an exercise band to strangle her three very young children to death. She’s currently on trial claiming postpartum depression. It’s started this very sick movement of liberal women actually supporting her. Defending her. I don’t even know what to say to this except any woman who posts a video in support of Lindsay Clancy should have her children taken away from her for their own safety.

No excuses.

Really? Seriously????

(I wrote about Jill Biden’s remark for American Thinker yesterday. You can find it here.)

When I see DSA (Democrat Socialists of America) floating through 90 miles of shark-infested waters to get to Cuba, I’ll believe her. Now? Not so much.

Wow. As you recall, former FBI Director James Comey is currently on trial over his “8647” shell picture that he posted on social media. The evidence Paul Sperry explains below goes to directly Comey’s state of mind –because it’s his own words. Very damning. We shall see what happens with the jury…

The cut-off text reads:

the wonder of the Internet” convinces his fans of “k*lling his foes.”

“It’s where a charismatic leader jacks people up, but through the wonder of the Internet, avoids a direct connection to what comes next,” Comey wrote in “FDR Drive,” which came out just five days after Comey posted his seashell threat in May 2025, less than a year after two attempts on Trump’s life, inclg one in which he was shot in the ear.

“He knows an attack will follow his words but he closes his eyes so he can say he wasn’t part of it,” Comey wrote, providing more evidence of intent.

“People are susceptible to [social media] messages that offer a sense of purpose through violence,” Comey also wrote, and because those messages are “in your pocket reaching you constantly through your buzzing phone [i]t’s an order of magnitude more effective and more dangerous.”

Wow. Just wow.

And finally, a momma bear doing what she should be doing, leading her cubs safely into the woods. It’s a shame they’re so dangerous cuz ya just wanna cuddle ’em, dontcha?

Have a great Saturday, patriots. ā¤ļøšŸ‡ŗšŸ‡ø
