These poor people. The tiny Spanish village of Ceuta was recently overrun with 10s of 1000s of illegal African migrants and now this on a beach in Cartagena, Spain. Clearly a much smaller import, but horrifying none-the-less. Imagine being a mom with kids on this beach. Imagine being anyone on this beach.

I subscribe to The American Spectator’s morning email newsletter written by one of their editors, Daniel Flynn. He had this item about the comments left below a story about a wife killing her cop husband. Like Mr. Flynn, I agree: they’re vile but let them speak. Let all the haters speak. Wow. Just wow. A grandma was in jail 72 days over mistaken identity — based on a Flock camera’s image.
The cut-off text reads:
jail 72 days before her public defender could get the video from Walmart-and the receipt of her purchases-to prove her innocent.
☝🏼I have so many questions… I thought they (Flock) weren’t supposed to be collecting facial images, or at least providing facial images the cameras do collect to law enforcement; that that wasn’t its purpose. And what the hell Walmart???? Why did it take 2 1/2 months to get this lady out of the can when you had the video and the receipt sitting there for the taking? That’s insane. I can only presume there was a court fight about it, but when someone’s liberty is at stake, we can’t do better??? What the hell??

The hot pink on the below map is the least charitable. (Note the liberal northeast, upper midwest, and west coast.) The bright green (the conservative south), is the most charitable. (I was very happy to see my western NC county shaded bright green.)
We could pay off our national debt, which just crossed the $40T mark, if we could just get a grip on the “improper payments” and the fraud. Big government, what all Democrats want, is clearly destructive to liberty and to civilization itself.

Luke Rosiak posted a simple, declarative sentence on NextDoor and got banned. There was no editorial comment in it. Only the bare facts. Why? Why was he banned? It was obviously his correct use of the phrase “illegal immigrant.” Way to go, NextDoor. Good job. Way to keep the neighborhood informed, which is your entire purpose. Morons.
When I was a young cub (in my 20s), I lived in San Francisco, and I remember spending a day at the famous U.C. Berkeley campus. I’d wanted to see it for myself, where all the hippies had done so much activism when I was just a toddler in the late 60s. It was a lovely, prestigious campus then (the late 80s-early 90s). Now? It’s just a failure factory.
Speaking of failure factories, they’ll cost ya.
