🤯 The Lunatic Left Series is a (near) daily curation of X posts and other items that catch my eye while I do my morning news “rounds” over ☕️ coffee. It’s not meant to be comprehensive, merely a snapshot of the lunatic left with whom we share a planet 🌎.
Editor’s note: You get TWO TLLSs today! One is our usual parade of horribles, and the other is this wonderful round-up of our 250th celebrations! Be sure to see both. Here’s a link to the usual parade of horribles once you’re done with all the fun here, or you can simply click the headline below.
There were so many good and positive X posts that were completely devoid of lunatic lefties, I decided we could all do with a steady stream of good old fashioned patriotism, so here it is! Enjoy!
Here’s the story behind the Star Spangled Banner, our national anthem. Click to see the cut-off text and read the whole thing — only about a minute of your time — but be sure to come back!
President Trump had star spangled banner stories to tell, with various flags from various big moments in our history. Great stuff.
Whoa this👇🏼 is cool.
Well wishes from around the world:
First up, our dear friends 🇮🇱 Israel.
Here’s 🇫🇷 French president Emmanuel Macron posting from his personal account a picture of France’s gift to America, our Statue of Liberty..
And 🇯🇵 Japan.
Japan! The only country we ever dropped nukes on and barely three generations later, they’re honoring us in such an extravagant fashion. That’s quite something. It says a lot about both them and us, all of it good. We should both be proud to be this way, at this moment.
Now to our own celebrations here in America. First up, our world-record fireworks show in Washington D.C. The cut-off text tells us there were 850,000 fireworks “shells” (evidently that’s what they’re called) in last night’s show. Just for perspective, the X poster tells us that last year’s 4th of July, which was a perfectly impressive show, had only 20,000. So… holy cow.
Leave it to Texas to go big and super impressive. Wow. Click to watch the video. It’s mesmerizing.
And finally, this is worth a few minutes of your time to go and read. We owe it to our Founders to preserve the Liberty they sacrificed so much for.
I hope you all had a happy 4th. We just had our children and grandchildren over for bbq and it couldn’t have been a nicer day. That’s what it’s all about, right? Our loved ones and our posterity. God bless. Have a marvelous Sunday, patriots. ❤️🎇📜🇺🇸
