🤯 The Lunatic Left Series is a (near) daily curation of X posts and other items that catch my eye while I do my morning news “rounds” over ☕️ coffee. It’s not meant to be comprehensive, merely representative of the lunatic left with whom we share a country 🇺🇸.
This first one is a bit of a long post, but tells a story.
The cut-off text reads:
They drove away without leaving a note, and the only way my neighbor knew what had happened was because of his ring cam. He posted a photo asking if anyone knew who they were so he could seek restitution.
Almost every comment on his post was from someone shaming him for trying to find the people who damaged his property, saying they are likely undocumented immigrants who were poor and scared, calling him privileged and saying he needs to get over his busted mailbox and glass-filled driveway and “think of others.”
In case y’all were wondering about the absolute insanity we’re dealing with in deep blue northern Virginia.
How do you share a country with these people?
Moving on, they’re not sending their best.
Another long post here, but worth it because it’s so bat guano insane.
The cut-off text reads:
criminal law.
Nothing about my civil practice has anything to do with this.
And yet because I cannot log into the State’s official e-filing system without saluting The Resistance, I now cannot represent my clients, file lawsuits, access cases, file documents in existing cases, etc.
If I click “Decline,” it kicks me out of the system. I must click “Accept” to access the system and continue representing my civil clients — again, in cases that have absolutely nothing to do with immigration law or policy.
I’ve read SB 25-276 (the law referred to below). It does not regulate me as a private attorney or any of the clients I represent in civil matters. This is outrageous draconian overreach.
I have ethical obligations to my clients to represent them competently. My existing cases have running deadlines that I must attend to. Judges issue orders in my cases that I must follow. If I don’t click “Accept” in order to access the State’s e-filing system, I will harm my clients, torpedo my practice, and probably commit malpractice. So, I have no choice.
I’m clicking “Accept” under protest.
I’m not a lawyer, even I can see this is outrageous. Lots of posts saying it’s patently illegal and should be challenged and overturned.
This too is outrageous. Look at how young these kids are. It shouldn’t be done in any public school classroom, but certainly not the little ones.
And speaking of public schools, I believe Tim Pool has the appropriate reaction here.
That’s it for today! Kind of a light day again.
Have an awesome Friday, patriots! ❤️🇺🇸
